Larry started The Benefits Group of Tennessee in 1987. Having spent the previous 15 years as an agent in property and casualty as well as medical and life with large companies, Larry felt there was a better way to help his clients.
His goal was to set up an agency where the client came first. Large companies are all about profit, profit, profit. Larry knew that he had to make money to pay the bills. However, the well being of the company he thought, could come second. What really mattered and seemed perfectly sensible was that the interest of the client should come first, the companies second. In this way the company would grow naturally because people would become happy, loyal clients.
His idea seems to work. The Benefits Group of Tennessee is 20 + years old and is a strong, reliable agency serving people all across Tennessee. Larry has also been formally trained. In addition to his 30 + years in the insurance Business, he has attained degrees from the Life Underwriters Training Council, LUTC. Also, he has a degree as a Certified Financial Health Consultant, CFHC. Larry’s experience in group medical, life, dental and disability includes knowledge of fully insured as well as alternative funding arrangements such as self insured and partially self insured products.
